The Happy House is designed to support the emotional wellbeing and regulation of primary school-aged children through calm, neuroscience-informed games and activities. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, particularly children, educators, and schools.
This Privacy Policy applies to Schools, educators, administrators, students, and any other authorised users of the Platform. It is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:

Personal Information:
School name and contact details
Educator/administrator name, email address, and phone number
School account login credentials
Year levels and class configurations set up by the school Student Information (entered by authorised school staff only):
Student first name (or preferred name)
Year level and class
Limited usage data related to games and well-being activities (e.g., session duration, activity completion, basic progress indicators) Automatically Collected Information:
Device type, operating system, and browser information
IP address and general location (country and state level only)
Usage analytics (e.g., which features are accessed, time spent in the Platform)

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, medical, or disability details) unless explicitly entered by school staff for customisation purposes, and even then, we strongly encourage minimal collection.

3. Purpose of Collection

We collect and use personal information primarily to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
Enable schools to manage classes, students, and access to well-being activities
Deliver personalised game and activity experiences for students
Generate basic usage reports for educators
Communicate with schools regarding their subscription, support, and updates

The Platform is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. Any data collected is for educational and wellbeing support purposes only.

We may use and disclose personal information for the purposes outlined above. We will not sell personal information.

Full Subscription: Data is retained for the duration of the active subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter (as outlined in section 9).

7. Children Privacy

We recognise the importance of protecting children’s privacy. The Happy House is designed for use by schools and authorised educators. Students do not create their own accounts. All student data is entered and managed exclusively by authorised school staff. Schools are responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent before entering student information into the Platform, in accordance with applicable laws.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
Upon cancellation of a subscription, access to well-being games and activity data will cease. Historical data may remain accessible in the School Dashboard for billing and account management purposes.
We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to enable the Platform to function. Analytical cookies may be used to understand usage patterns and improve the service. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
